Off the back of his success with his Audio Visual business, Allan Smyth Audio Visual, Allan has crafted a unique recording facility in High Harrogate that serves the local community and aspiring musicians.
So far (at the time of writing) he has catered for indy sensations and Police Commissioners, Radio show broadcasts and Photography studio sessions.
As the site for CREAO Studio says – “we bring 30+ years of audio, video, media and arts experience to the table.”
“CREAO (short for Creative Arts Organisation) is owned by Allan Smyth who has worked in the AV, arts and entertainment industry for 30+ years, the addition of CREAO to his existing AV hire and installation business ensures you get best practice service and kit in an informal but organised environment.”
A natural progression of their endeavours was that they wanted to release music that appealed to them, so they have started the CREAO Studio label for Traditional Dubbing across the genres. To facilitate this I set them up with a digital aggregator and advised on the creation of a Greedbag store for the label – now, thanks to the digital setup, the music of CREAO Studio is across the world and has charted at Number 1 on the Beatport Reggae Charts.
The stand alone site is built in WordPress and allows the dissemination of information across social media platforms. I am pleased with the logo I designed for the label – this was done using a piece of software called Sketch on my MacBook Pro – It is a native Mac application.
The workflow for Sketch is mind-blowingly simple; it is a joy to work with. Creating flat, 2D shapes is now something I can do without opening Photoshop.
